Congratulations to Norrie Rattray and Colin Dow who beat Roddy and Hamie McRobert in the final of the two bowl pairs.
Seniors Competition
The final of the Seniors competition was played earlier this evening between Christine McLennan and Douglas Craik. Douglas took an early lead and was 12-2 up after 8 ends. At the 15th end, Christine had clawed her way back into the game and was only 2 shots behind at 14-16. The score moved to 18-18 before Christine got a single shot to move into the front for the first time in the game leading 19-18. At the next end, Douglas was lying one shot. With his last bowl, Douglas took out Christine's second shot with a courageous drive to lie three shots and win the match! Thanks to both players for an excellent final and congratulations to Douglas.
Club Pairs
The final of the Club Pairs was recently played with Peter Jack and Christine McLennan against Tom MacDougall and Bob Woolley. The winners were Peter and Christine. Well done to them and commiserations to Tom and Bob!
The Gents and Ladies Medals
In the Ladies Championship, Christine McLennan played Meg Rattray.
Meg got off to a great start but Christine fought her way back and eventually
triumphed to become Ladies Club Champion again. In the Gents Championship,
three times Champion Jimmy Hermiston played Championship new boy, George
Dark. In a keenly fought game, George Dark eventually secured victory to win
become Club Champion for his first time.

The Black Watch Trophy
Christine McLennan and Peter Jack competed for the Black Watch trophy. Peter was off scratch, while
Christine was starting on -5. In a hard fought game, Christine emerged as winner. Congratulations to Christine!
The Reid Cup
The Reid Cup final was played between Ray Taylor and John Duff
with Ray playing a perfect draw with his last bowl to snatch victory
from the jaws of defeat. Well done, Ray!
President's Prize
The winner of this year's President's Prize was George Dark. The Runner-Up was Douglas Craik.
Congratulations to George!
Pitilie Shield
The final of the Pitilie Shield was played between Isla Duncan and George Dark, with George
eventually securing victory. Congratulations to George!
Barnett Trophy
The final this year was played between Diana and Ray Taylor and Isla Duncan
and Douglas Craik. In a close match, Diana and Ray emerged the winners.

Dewars Pairs
This year's winners of the Dewars Pairs competition are Mattie McDougall
and Anne Woolley for the ladies and Colin Dow and Norrie Rattray for the
men. Christine McLennan and Janie Morrison and Jimmy Hermiston and
Chris Boynes were runners up. Well done!
Stewart Triples
Congratulations to Billy Devlin, Frances Inglis and Colin Dow for winning this year’s
Stewart Triples competition. The team is pictured right receiving their prizes from Vice
President Bob Woolley. Runners up were Mattie McDougall, Bunty Sutherland and Norrie Rattray.
Blackadder Pairs
Today saw a good day's competition in the Blackadder Pairs with the four rounds being played
over 11 ends each game. The semi-finals were between Isla Duncan/Douglas Craik and Robbie
Matthew/Diana Taylor and Ernie Swift/Ray Taylor and Anne Drummond/Mattie McDougall.
The rain held off though the wind started to become a major factor, however, spectators were
treated to a good final between Robbie Matthew/Diana Taylor and Ernie Swift/Ray Taylor. While
the Swift/Taylor team got off to a good start, the Matthew/Taylor team pegged them back and at
the last end there was only one shot separating the two with victory going to Ernie Swift and Ray
Taylor. Congratulations to both teams. Pictures of the event can be found in the Photographs section.
Leszke Trophy
The final of the Leszke Trophy was fought out between Douglas Craik and John Duff. John managed
to peg back an early lead from Douglas but went down 14-12 at the last end. Congratulations to
Douglas and thanks to Willie Leszke for continuing to sponsor this club competition.
McKinlay Two-Bowl Singles: w/c Monday 22nd April 2013
Spectators enjoyed an exciting final between Peter Jack and Ray Taylor. It was a very close contest going all the way to the 21st end before Ray Taylor won 14-11. Congratulations to Ray and Peter for a great final and well done Ray.
